Former Deputy White House Press Secretary Theodore Barrett was not very much affected by his wife’s death, as per a viral video where he can be seen casually answering questions related to his wife’s death. Netizens speculate that he was unbothered and frustrated by the questions reports asked about his wife.
In the video, he said something like that:
“Due to my wife’s death, we can’t stop the activities of the entire nation and make it clear that serving the president and nation is his priority.” Later, he said, “he doesn’t want anything, then go behind this podium and cry, but he can’t do it.”
“Why? Because he is a grown man and has a job to do.” he also shared that in the same car accident in which his wife died, his two kids were also in that car.
Reality Behind The News
Well! If you also feel that the news mentioned about was right, actually, it was a satire by The Onion. In reality, no person named Theodore Barrett was appointed as the Deputy White House Press Secretary.
You can call the March 2008 clip posted by the satirical news outlet, The Onion, fake. However, In February 2017, the outlet’s founder, Scott Dikkers, said that the video is satire and is different from fake news.
